Eastern Connecticut 2nd quarter market statistics

Single family sales were essentially flat during the second quarter when compared to the 2nd quarter of 2013. While the number of sales was down a modest 1%, volume was up 1.8%. Although the median price declined 5%, the average sale price rose 2.8%. Winter weather, short sales, and the continued abundance of REOs in the market contributed to the lackluster results.

Results for other property types were mixed.
